Jones Dixon, Commissioner is the Multnomah County Commissioner for District 4, elected in May 2024 to champion the safety and prosperity of East Multnomah County residents.
Co-Founder of
the Eight
Seconds Rodeo
He and his wife, Mesha, reside in Gresham, Oregon, where they are raising their two children. With close to two decades of experience serving families in the funeral care business and as a co-founder of the Eight Seconds Rodeo, his deep community ties and commitment to public service are rooted in personal experience. Having grown up in Northeast Portland and raised his family in Gresham, he has a first-hand view of continuing inequities in access to health care, public safety, and economic opportunities. Commissioner Jones Dixon focuses on "fixing systems" within the county, including drilling in on the question of what role the county should play in economic development, and brings a strong track record from his previous service on the Gresham City Council, where he led actions to enhance public safety, target the root causes of community violence, and improve essential services related to housing and homelessness.
